On October 29, 2026, AEMHY joined a small, closed-door hydrogen industry roundtable in China focused on practical applications and customer needs.
The discussion brought together specialists in PEM and AEM electrolysis, hydrogen compression, metal hydride storage, fuel cells, Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine(HICE) and hydrogen blending into natural gas.
Participants exchanged experiences from island energy systems, data centre power supply and residential hydrogen storage, exploring how complementary technologies can be combined to serve specific applications.

Commercial Applications Are Taking Shape
A central topic was how hydrogen technologies can create tangible value for customers.
Each application brings different requirements for hydrogen production capacity, storage duration, operating frequency, installation space and maintenance. The discussion therefore extended beyond individual equipment specifications to the operating conditions and economics of a complete solution.
Presentations on on-site hydrogen production and natural gas blending were particularly useful in connecting equipment with customer outcomes. They illustrated the practical benefits that installations can offer, alongside the conditions required to achieve those benefits.
These exchanges highlighted how commercial applications are gradually developing: a customer need is identified, suitable technologies are brought together, and performance is evaluated under actual operating conditions.

Complete Solutions Require Complementary Expertise
Participants shared a common view that successful hydrogen projects require collaboration across several technical disciplines.
Electrolyzers, compressors, storage units and end-use equipment must work together. Capacity, pressure and operating schedules need to be coordinated, alongside control strategies, equipment interfaces, installation and ongoing maintenance.
Regular exchanges of technical progress, test results and operating experience can help partners identify integration challenges earlier and develop proposals with clear responsibilities.
This collaboration is an important part of moving from individual technologies to workable customer solutions.

Contributing AEM Electrolysis Expertise
AEMHY develops AEM membranes, electrodes, membrane electrode assemblies, electrolyzer stacks and hydrogen production systems.
Discussions with specialists in storage, compression and end-use applications help the company better understand what its equipment needs to deliver in different operating environments.
AEMHY aims to contribute this expertise through collaboration on materials evaluation, equipment matching, system integration and application validation.
For international projects, local developers, engineering companies, system integrators and service partners play an essential role. Their knowledge of customer requirements, site conditions, regulations and maintenance arrangements is fundamental to developing projects that can operate successfully over time.
Hydrogen’s commercial applications are taking shape through individual projects and shared experience. AEMHY will continue working with partners to identify where AEM electrolysis can make a practical contribution.
Project teams exploring hydrogen storage, on-site hydrogen production or system integration are welcome to get in touch.
