AEMHY( Changzhou AEMHY Hydrogen Energy Technology Co.,LTD. ), a leading developer of high-performance anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis technologies, today announced a key commercial breakthrough: the company has successfully completed multiple MW-scale deliveries of its proprietary catalyst-coated substrate (CCS) cathodes and anodes for AEM electrolyzer projects across China.

This achievement comes shortly after AEMHY was awarded the "International Hydrogen Energy Future Star Award" at the 2025 International Hydrogen Energy Innovation Pioneer Competition, recognizing the company's leading technological innovation capabilities in the AEM electrolysis sector.

Industry-Leading CCS MEA Performance
AEMHY's CCS membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is engineered to deliver exceptional performance and durability for large-scale green hydrogen production:
High current density: 1.5 A/cm² at 1.8 V (operating at 60°C with 1 M KOH anode circulation)

Low-cost catalyst system: Nickel-iron LDH anode (no precious iridium/platinum required for anode) with matched Pt/C cathode

Scalable large format production: Maximum substrate size up to 600 mm × 600 mm, supporting high-capacity stack manufacturing

Flexible configuration: Anode supports multiple porous transport layer (PTL) options including nickel foam, nickel felt, and composite nickel substrates to meet varied project requirements

Proven Commercial Viability & Global Market Traction
The completion of multiple MW-scale domestic deliveries validates the maturity and scalability of AEMHY's CCS manufacturing technology. These supplies mark an important step in the company's transition from R&D to full commercial production, as the AEM electrolysis market continues to accelerate its growth in China and globally.
In addition to domestic project deployments, AEMHY's CCS products are currently undergoing sample evaluation by multiple international customers, highlighting the global market demand for the company's high-performance, cost-effective AEM solutions.
"AEM electrolysis combines the low-cost advantage of alkaline technology with the high performance of PEM systems, making it the ideal solution for large-scale green hydrogen projects," said Liu Feng, CEO of AEMHY. "Our successful MW-scale deliveries and growing international customer interest demonstrate that our CCS products are ready for industrial deployment worldwide, and we are committed to supporting our partners to build more efficient, cost-effective green hydrogen infrastructure."
